Anatomy & Physiology Body Structure and Function (NTC)
Grades 10-12
2 semesters – 1 credit
Prerequisite: General Biology with C average or instructor approval Human Anatomy and Physiology is an advanced laboratory science course. Upon successful completion of this course with a grade of 75% or higher, students will receive 3 NTC credits.
Students will begin by studying basic cell biology and various human tissue types. We will explore each of the various body systems in detail. There are many lab explorations and investigations designed to enhance and reinforce each subject area. Students interested in any medical careers or careers in veterinary science studies will find this course to be a huge advantage in starting their collegiate careers. If you have any desire to learn more about the workings of the human body and want to explore life’s little mysteries, this is the course for you.
