Grade 11 and 12
2 semesters – 1 credit
Prerequisites: Algebra and Geometry required, Advanced Algebra highly recommended
Physics is a two-semester course that studies the interactions of matter and energy. Some of the topics covered are measurement techniques, motion, forces, energy, momentum, heat, thermodynamics, fluids, wave motion, light and sound. Physics is recommended for all students, especially those who have a natural curiosity about the world around them and those planning to pursue a science related career.
Students in this class will:
- Be introduced to more difficult concepts in Physics
Practice higher-level thinking and complex problem solving skills
Prepare for a post-secondary Physics class
